Celebrating International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8th to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and to advocate for gender equality. This day is an opportunity to celebrate the progress that has been made towards gender equality and to call attention to the work that still needs to be done to ensure that all women and girls have equal access to opportunities and rights.
Women have made significant contributions to every aspect of society, from science and technology to the arts and politics. However, women still face many barriers to achieving their full potential, including discrimination, unequal pay, and limited access to education and healthcare.
On International Women’s Day, we can all take action to support gender equality by advocating for policies and programs that promote women’s rights and by challenging gender stereotypes and biases. We can also celebrate the women in our lives by recognizing their achievements and supporting them in their goals and aspirations.

Official Opening of Maternity Ward
Maternity wards play a critical role in ensuring quality maternal health. These wards provide specialized care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods. The quality of care provided in these wards can have a significant impact on maternal health outcomes, such as reducing maternal mortality, improving maternal mental health, and promoting optimal infant health and development.
Maternity wards should provide a safe and supportive environment for women, with skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals who can provide high-quality care throughout the childbirth process. This includes monitoring for any complications during pregnancy, ensuring that women have access to pain management options during labor, and providing support for breastfeeding and newborn care.
